Arthritis At Home Episode 62 – Cristina Montoya on living with Sjögren’s syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis  

In this episode of Arthritis At Home, Registered Dietitian and patient advocate Cristina Montoya speaks about her experiences living with Sjögren’s syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis. Cristina explains some common misconceptions about Sjögren’s syndrome, how the disease impacts the lives of patients, and why more public awareness for the disease is needed. She shares her strategies for symptom management as well as the important lessons she has learnt over the course of her disease journey.  

Cristina is a member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, Dietitians of Canada, and the Arthritis Health Professions Association. As a patient advocate living with rheumatoid arthritis and Sjögren’s Syndrome, Cristina participates in the Durham Region Sjögren’s Syndrome Support Group from the Sjögren’s Society of Canada as well as the Online Consumer Panel from the Arthritis Society.
