In this episode of Arthritis At Home, we are sharing the #CRArthritis interview Arthritis Broadcast Network conducted with Dr. Jonathan Chan, rheumatologist from Vancouver B.C. He discusses non-radiographic axial spondylitis diagnosis and management. Dr. Chan explains what non-radiographic axial spondylitis is and how it differs from other forms of arthritis such as ankylosing spondylitis. He highlights the main challenges that exist in diagnosis for this disease area, strategies for overcoming these challenges, and also provides some helpful self-management tips for patients.
Dr. Chan completed medical school at the University of Alberta, internal medicine and rheumatology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and clinical fellowship in spondyloarthritis at the University of Toronto. Dr. Chan is a clinician investigator with Arthritis Research Canada and a clinical assistant professor at UBC. He is also a member of SPARCC, iPART, GRAPPA, SPARTAN, and ASAS.
