Arthritis At Home 113 – Exercise and physical activity

In this episode of Arthritis At Home, ACE president Cheryl Koehn has a discussion with ACE programs coordinator Ellen Wang on exercise and physical activity from patient and research perspectives. They talk about the difference between physical activity and exercise, how to incorporate exercise into your daily life and invite viewers to complete the 10-minute ACE Survey on Arthritis and Exercise.

Ellen Wang is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Linda Li at the University of British Columbia. She received her Master and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. In addition, she was involved in several implementation projects that aimed to improve mobility and physical function. From her experiences, she developed a keen interest in the self-management of chronic conditions. Outside of her studies, Ellen works as a yoga instructor and personal trainer. She also loves to prepare colourful meals and curate fun playlists.
