In this episode of Arthritis At Home, Ellen Wang, Programs Coordinator for Arthritis Consumer Experts, speaks to Dr. Sylvain Bourgoin, a Researcher at the Center of Quebec and a Professor in the Department of Microbiology-Infectiology and Immunology of the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University. Recently, his team was successful in obtaining the Strategic Operating Grant from the Arthritis Society for the project titled Understanding inflammatory arthritis on the path to tailored treatment. During their conversation, Dr. Bourgoin and Ellen discuss the complex pathways that cause inflammation and how basic science could guide the development of new treatments. Dr. Bourgoin expresses his thanks to the Arthritis Society and all who donate to research for their contributions to this work.
