Arthritis At Home 189 – Artificial intelligence and pattern mining of healthcare data
In this episode of Arthritis At Home, we are sharing the #CRArthritis interview with Dr. Carson Leung on artificial intelligence in practice and the pattern mining of healthcare data for complex chronic conditions. Dr. Leung discusses the use of innovated use of algorithms to understand patterns in health care utilization leading up to the diagnosis of rheumatic diseases and how these models are being tested and validated and the potential for them to be used in a predictive capacity.
Dr. Leung is a Professor at the University of Manitoba and the Founder and Director of the Database and Data Mining Lab in Department of Computer Science at The University of Manitoba.
