Arthritis At Home – The complex diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis and the role of allied health professionals

World AS Day is Saturday, May 4! This day is dedicated to people living with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and celebrated across the world on the first Saturday of May.

We are raising awareness for axSpA by sharing this #ArthritisAtHome interview with Dr. Dax. Rumsey on the complex diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis and the role allied health professionals can play in recognizing signs and understand patient reported symptoms. He also discusses the difference between inflammatory back pain and mechanical back pain, which is often worst with the morning and may be accompanied by skin manifestations and gastro symptoms. Further, Dr. Rumsey shares an eye-opening experience and encourages patients with undiagnosed back pain to self-advocate for their own medical needs.
